The #1 ranked Oklahoma State University men's golf team, along with their coaches, played the Ponca City Country Club golf course on Thursday, May 12, and it was a record tying day. Peter Uhlein, a junior at OSU from Orlando, Florida, tied the course record atPCCC by shooting a 10-under-par round of 62. He had 9 birdies, 1 eagle, 1 bogey and 7 pars. Matt Ellis, Rod Alexander and 2 other players have also shot 62's over the 66 year history of the golf course. All of the OSU players and coaches played really solid golf and were very friendly and joking with all of the folks in the gallery throughout the afternoon.
The Cowboys golf team is led by Head Coach Mike McGraw, who was born and raised in Ponca while his father, the late Gervis McGraw, was the Head Golf Professional at Ponca City Country Club from 1957 to 1982.
